Thin strip in ac applied field

Shown movies:

Spatial distributions of magnetic field, H(x), current density, j(x), and electric field, E(x). The blue background correspond to the superconducting strip, while outside regions are black. Bottom: the magnetization hysteresis loop. The field is applied perpendicular to the strip.

All quantities are normalized to Hc, jc, Ec=Hc vc, and Mc, where Mc is the magnetization of a strip with uniform current density equal to jc.

Parameters:

    pinning energy U = Uc ln( j / jc ),   Uc/kT = 5,
    ac field amplitude  Hac = Hc = d jc/ pi ;
    the frequency  f = 0.001 vc / 2w;
    (w and d are the strip halfwidth and thickness,
    vc is the vortex velocity at j = jc).
