I review some recent achievements in observational studies of Long-period X-ray pulsars. Theoretical analysis of these data suggests that these objects are either spherically accreting neutron stars with the surface magnetic field of 1-10 Tera-Gauss or magnetars (3-8 Peta-Gauss) accreting from a disk. Advantages as well as problems of both of these approaches will be discussed.
