Long slab in parallel field swept with a constant rate

Shown movies:

Spatial distributions of magnetic field, H(x), current density, j(x), and electric field, E(x). The blue background correspond to the superconducting slab, while outside regions are black. Bottom: the magnetization hysteresis loop.

H, j, E, and M are normalized to Hc, jc, Ec= vcBc, and Mc, where Mc is the magnetization in case of uniform current density equal to jc.

Parameters:

    pinning energy  U = Uc ln( j / jc ),   Uc/kT = 11,
    the maximal field  Hmax = 0.48 Hc;
    the field sweep rate  dH/dt = 0.001 Hmax vc / 2w;
    (Hc = w jc,   w is the slab halfwidth,
    vc is the vortex velocity at j = jc).
