Observations of molecular hydrogen in the absorption systgem with z=2.3377 in the spectrum of QSO 1232+032 gives an evidence of an effect of broadening of atomic velocity distribution on the excited rotational levels J=2, J=3, J=4. In the present work we discuss possible explanations of this effect.
