The Russian research organizations: Ioffe Physico-Technical Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences, St Petersburg State Institute of Technology and Federal State Unitary Enterprise "Special Design and Technological Office "Technolog" together with NanoCarbon Research Institute, Japan, will arrange JOINT INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE "NANOCARBON & NANODIAMOND 2006" which will be held in St Petersburg, Russia on September 11-15, 2006.

The first International Symposium "Detonation Nanodiamond. Technology, Properties and Applications" was held in St Petersburg, Russia on 7-9 July, 2003 and the first "Nanocarbon Workshop" was held in Hayama, Japan on July 30-31, 2005.
The "NANOCARBON & NANODIAMOND 2006" will combine the 2nd International Symposium "Detonation Nanodiamond. Technology, Properties and Applications" and the 2nd Nanocarbon Workshop.

The Conference will focus on the latest advances in the science and technology of ultrananocrystalline diamond and all other forms of nanocarbons, especially carbon onions and nanographite, similar to the previous conferences held in St Petersburg in 2003 (Nanodiamond'03) and 2004 (Nanodiamond'04)

The number of participants of the conference will be no more than 100.

Program will include 15 invited lectures (35 minutes), not more than 20 oral presentations (20 minutes), and One-Day NEDO/ISTC Joint Meeting, and poster sessions.
